Next generation Prius-III view “officially” released

No masking, no covers or strange add-ons, 'Just the facts, ma'am', pure and simple

Wayne Gerdes – CleanMPG – Oct. 6, 2008

As we have been waiting patiently over the past year with various spy shots and managers speaking about Gen-III’s (as we call it) features and amenities, our patience is finally paying off.

Although Toyota will provide little in the way of commentary or details, the new Prius-III is shown for the first time with the full support of the Toyota Motor Company. And beautiful it is too

Basic specs should include the Corollas 1.8L ICE atkinsonized similar to the Echo/Yaris’ in the Prius-II, 0 to 60 mph in under 10 seconds, more ergonomic enhancements with more than just 4-way seat adjustments and an all new instrument panel and dash layout.

Without further adieu, may we present you with the actual 2010 Toyota Prius-III sneak peek.

Ok, so it appears to be the MFD greeting screen upon boot but more will come over the next few days and weeks

Augh, How could you!

Darn, at least we have info and pictures on the Insight II, and Volt.

It will be VERY interesting to see flagship dedicated hybrid vehicles such as the Prius III, Volt, and Insight II compete to win hypermilers' and ecofriendly people's acceptence.

I love that kind of mechanical font. It's sleek, clean, timeless, yet stylishly advanced. Nice choice, Toyota.

While waiting for a repair crew to unjam a rear cargo door that pressurized so tight, they have to completely replace the vacuum pump and cut out the door... way to go Boeing... I saw this in an Auto Magazine in Okinawa International ... surprise surprise you can find anything online

I like the Engrish translation -- "Powerful Car Magazine."

It is what it says, I guess...
