Re: Fit glide time
Hey Paul,
I read this at school, then did my drive home with this tread in mind.
On completely flat ground my coast is 20-21 seconds based on the track times on my CD player.
This is with a 52 mph pulse to a 40 mph glide.

Re: Fit glide time
I couldn't bring myself to do 55-40, but I did 50-40 yesterday. I posted my results in the "Help me get better" thread.

Re: Fit glide time
cross-posting from the other thread.
My civic's coast-down from 50 to 40 is about 20 seconds. 75 degrees, overcast, minimal wind, 60 psi tires.

Re: Fit glide time
I don't either. Just an approximate counting is useful. 20 seconds, 19 seconds, 21 seconds - it's not that much different.

Re: Fit glide time
Well, I posted my times in the other thread and I just uploaded the video here:

At least you have real time correlations and no guess work which is why I wanted to video it, though the quality sucks. (crackyberry hacks FTW!)

Re: Fit glide time
Actually not that slow, I just stepped it down a notch since gas is outrageous. It is unbearable. I on my 65mpg tank I P&G from 35-45(P) and 45-35(G). This is the only way to get the mpg that high on the FIT. All, the more reason for me to get a hybrid. I am impatient as hell but I have learned patience with hypermiling.
