I suggest showing your numbers to Bob Wilson
And if he disagrees show him the picture of Moses carrying the graph...

JustBringIt - 56+ for a V6??! Yet another member at CleanMPG who just can't help himself but to break the laws of physics and disrupt graphs...
A nice 45.3 on the way home last night. This morning I was pretty darn lucky most of the way, caught several lights flipping to green as I approached at about 20mph... but those gains got whacked a little by two buttheads. Still managed to get an awesome 56.3 mpg into the rollback spot Tank is at a goofy 44.7 at 40 miles

@Larry
well, being a cleanmpg member...what you expect to hear from those who arent?
@slowhands
I never in my wildest dreams thought it could be done in any car much less my own...I must say my car is on for about 1/3 of that trip. Even your ranger makes it seem pointless for some of those driving compacts. You're in prius territory just make sure you omit Larry

I got your back! To save you some time, here is the skeptic's post.
What I should have said there is that I've seen enough pics of that dirty MFD to know it's genuine.
EDIT: Larry, he still doesn't believe. Now he's questioning your fillup capacity. I'll let you respond on this one; this is just a heads-up.

Re: Week of August 11th- August 17th (Nat Avg: $3.85)
Thanks Jim. I'm in the process of getting my receipt posted. We'll see what he has to say about that.
I'll bet Mr. Skeptic would really go berserk if he saw my results for today's driving. I blew away several PR's today. The temp was 56F this morning with winds from a northernly direction@ ~5mph. When I got out of work at 11:45am, the temp was ~75F and the winds had picked up to ~10mph from the NW. Conditions were perfect for the work commute segments and I don't know if they will ever line up again so don't get used to those numbers.
1. 105-11.0(home to work- NEW PR! )
2. 105-11.0(work to home- NEW PR! )
3. 98.8-9.2(home to Wmart)
4. 100-21.0(Wmart to store that had a sale on T-bones@ $4.99/#)
5. 119-13.8(store to home)
Average for today was 105.0( NEW PR! (day 41@ 80+ and day 21@ 90+) and the tank is at 97.6 after 264.0 miles with 10 of 10 pips on the guess gauge and the "gas" gauge still bouncing between 97.5% and 100%.

Re: Week of August 11th- August 17th (Nat Avg: $3.85)
I had to drive to Virginia to pick up my son today (his grand parents met me halfway). I averaged 42.1 over 380 miles. Woot! And it's still just a tick under half a tank. This is shaping up to be a 600 mile tank for sure . No air, and I just set the cruise for 60 MPH the whole way up, and 64 for the majority of the way back. Which, when adjusted, is actually about 56 and 60. I'm going to have to keep the missus out of the car so that I can hit that 600 mile mark. It certainly seems to be more uphill heading into Virginia. I didn't even pull it into the 40 MPG range until about 60 miles into the trip.
