I was wondering what the range of mpg folks were getting with 6-gen Accords .
I have a 2002 Accord LX , 4 cylinder and MT
I was getting about 26mpg when it was new and I did lots of 85mph hwy
Dropped about 10% with more mixed use and local changeover to 10% ethanol
was at a stable 24.5mpg before using technique
Only mods are tires to 33lbs and SGII
I am getting about 33.5mpg without driving like a jerk :-)
(I am a hardcore defensive driver)
down to 30.5mpg around town.
I got mine ('02 MT Coupe) over 40mpg for 7 or 8 consecutive tanks, with a maximum range of 550+mi. Keep your speeds reasonable on the highway and 37+mpg should be cake. Driven and maintained properly that's a great FE car.

Wow, 33.5 and over 40mpg?. I thought I was doing good at 30.9. That was my first tank trying out hypermiling. I've since dropped my speed a touch and have bumped the tires up to 42psi. Oh yeah, I have a 1999 EX 4dr, AT, ULEV 2.3.
My 01 does a good job on the highway. I can get 40 pretty easy. City is tougher for me, since I live in a small town with mostly stop signs...
tires at 42psi, scangauge... that's it. 2weeks ago I got a scangauge, and the 40mpg trips on the highway were soon to follow. Before the scangauge i was able to get some tanks in at 37 on the interstate. Now I'll get much higher.
