Wait, we have to prepare some kind of display for our cars? Why must there be work involved with this?
Maybe I'll put up a chart of my MPG on a window cling sticker but that would be it.

Re: What’s your Hybridfest 2006 display going to look like?
Hi Sledge:
___I am doing less then that as I just plan on showing up
___Actually, I am sure you have gotten to know Terry without ever having to meet him just by his posting style. I know Tom and I don’t have the Cajone’s to run with a big dog like him but he is one hell of a promoter/salesman and one you may find very interesting in the flesh …
___A bit of history on his handouts … Both Terry and his wife Cathy were up until 03:00 AM this morning while at their local Kinko’s with the Word Document(s) in hand re-adjusting the graphics so they would look as perfect as they could possibly be before printing the batch. If I told you what the printing alone cost (not including the time involved), you would be shocked as to the amount of $’s they are spending in order to make HF2006 as good a show as it can be from their perspective. I personally cannot wait to see the handouts in person but from their descriptions, what you see above is not even as good as the final Terry and Cathy put together over these past 2 days!
___Terry, nice job on the information you put together in a very attractive looking document.
___Good Luck
___Wayne

Re: What’s your Hybridfest 2006 display going to look like?
I would suggest being prepared to put these on the INSIDE of the
windows if necessary, or under some sort of shelter, just because
it's summer and you never know what the weather's going to do.
http://www.crh.noaa.gov/forecast/Map...MKX&TextType=1
.
I expect that my car will wind up looking similar to what can
be vaguely seen at http://www.priusownersgroup.com/?page_id=1132
about halfway down -- various techie tidbits plastered all over
the car, including a reasonably comprehensive list of my mods,
and my scruffy self standing out there encouraging any and all
questions. I'll have various handouts, such as copies of
http://techno-fandom.org/~hobbit/cars/prius-flyer.gif and
larger packets of stuff for the folks more interested in the
deeper tech details. And the full service manual up and running
on the laptop in case someone wants to look something up.
.
Remember to bring sunscreen, DEET, water, snax, etc... if we're
going to be out there all day...
.

Re: What’s your Hybridfest 2006 display going to look like?
Hi Hobbit:
___Both Dan and I have apologized to you for this in the past and here is another opportunity … We both completely missed your displays at TDS2006 due to time constraints but this time around, Dan and I will both be spending more time then you would probably care for looking at all the goodies you will be sharing with the public at HF2006
___I believe this is going to be a great gathering and even more fun then TDS if the weather cooperates simply due to the large hybrid owner turnout and especially the quality of those scheduled to appear/arrive. I probably know by nick/name 25% of those already pre-registered from the hybrid community and I personally cannot wait!
___On another note, I have not heard that Brian Hardegen (Nemystic from IC) will be driving over with Mike D? I will have to PM him over there but since you have spoken with Mike on more then one occasion since TDS, has he given you any inkling if Brian is going to make it out or not? I would love to have him out here as well …
___Good Luck
___Wayne

Actually, I did have a chance to see Hobbit's display at the TDS. But Hobbit wasn't there to splain stuff to me as he was tending to his TDS duties. I found the spare time while Wayne was being mobbed by the Insight groupies.

Re: What’s your Hybridfest 2006 display going to look like?
Apologies certainly not needed; you guys needed to get on the
road and heck, basically it's a bunch of paper prints of stuff
right off various websites. I don't have convenient access to
spiffo printing facilities, and really, the idea is to get URLs
into the hands of the public so *they* can go check things out in
more detail at their leisure when they get home and less
overwhelmed with everything else they're seeing at the show...
