Traffic fatalities dropping

Miles driven have only fallen a little under 2% with fatalities dropping in the double digits.
They try to say people are driving less, but consumption isn't down enough to support that. In fact, people may actually be driving MORE, just more slowly.

Re: Take this AAA: Hypermiling saving lives

Not only are people driving slower, they are leaving their FSP parked and driving something smaller and safer. So it is likely a combination of smaller vehicles and slower speeds.

Re: Take this AAA: Hypermiling saving lives

My wife has started using some HM techniques, and remarked yesterday how much more alert she is while driving now.

I just smiled and resisted the urge to say "I told you so".....
