What an amazing sense of perspective, light and shadow he has. Not to mention the imagination to think of them in the first place.

He has to think ahead to what angle the photograph will be taken, where the viewer will stand and design with that exact perspective in mind. I think the chalk of the world with the "End Poverty" banner is the best example since you can see both the original concept/finished produce with the tiny guy standing at the top of a perfectly round world, then to look at the side view and see how prounced the elongation actually had to be to allow that first shot.
