Unhappy Scan Gauge frozen?

I had a problem start yesterday with the scan gauge. On start-up two of the gauge displays stopped working.

mpg - stuck on 9999.
gph - stuck on 0.00.

At first I was like omg super EV mode?? But then reality sunk in. I've tried altering the update speed down to slow (I had it default on normal) but there is no change. Tried cycling through the gauge display options back to gph and mpg and still the same. Shutting down doesn't help either, it has the same error today.

Do I have to go back to defaults all over again? Or is there a way around this glitch? Any advice appreciated!

Re: Scan Gauge frozen?

did you try disconnecting it from the car. If I remember correctly the obd2 port supplies a constant 12 volts even if car is off. which would keep the SG powered, it goes into a power save mode. (i think when it doesn't see any signals from the computer in the car)

Re: Scan Gauge frozen?

I apologize in advance for asking, but did you try to drive it in its current condition - and still no change?

Re: Scan Gauge frozen?

I just filled up today. Tried disconnecting then reconnecting again. Waited about 5 minutes before plugging in again. Info on past tanks if still saved and the mpg and gph still bug. Not sure what's up. I think I'll just have to go to defaults again but I kinda dread it since the instant display then seems to be off until I calibrate it with another fill up or two.

And yes, I've tried just driving. No change in either of the two displays.

Re: Scan Gauge frozen?

If you've been driving it in this state, then your calibration will be off anyways. Best to try a reset, and hopefully that fixes the glitch. Good Luck.
