Ford is keeping it quiet --Ed.

Unlike Nissan with the Leaf, and Chevy with the Volt, who had a large press events when the first vehicles were delivered, Ford has started delivering the Ford Focus Electric and no one even knows about it – except that members of the Ford Focus Electric Forum are so excited they can’t help but share the news!

This past weekend, on May 26th, forum member Whit (whitgallman) drove to pick up a Ford Focus Electric – and as far as we know, this is the first delivery of 2012 a Ford Focus Electric to a retail customer!

Whit lives in Charlotte, North Carolina, but purchased the Ford Focus Electric through Hassett Ford in Wantagh New York since Ford was limiting the initial release of the Ford Focus Electric to California and New York.... [Read More]
