Re: Week of May 21st - May 27th, 2012 (Nat Avg $3.76)
To vets with one of the rabbits this morning:
59.4 / 6.1
On way back from from vets this morning got blocked in so had to reverse to get out , did my usual monster FAS down the hill but got stopped short a bit earlier than normal with an old guy in a Rover, UG was reading 108mpg when I bumped it. Kept it above 83 all the way home:
83.2 / 6.0
I was so close to 100mpgUK - 99.9!
Tank up 0.2 to 51.4 / 648.7 / DTE139 Fuel gauge on 2.4/14
FCD staying above 50 (60mpgUK) - I do hope it's low as usual!

Way cool, guys!!!
No driving for me as I'm up at the in-laws' lake home for the weekend -- we drove up Thursday night.

Re : Week of May 21st - May 27th, 2012 (Nat Avg $3.76)
Today: - 11.7mi @ 69.5mpgUS 18°C=64°F low traffic (1)
- 13..4mi @ 64.8mpgUS 18°C=64°F low traffic
- 18.9mi @ 75.8mpgUS 20°C=68°F medium traffic
- 21.7mi @ 69.8mpgUS 19°C=66°F medium traffic
Day: 65.9mi @ 70.2mpgUS
Tank: SG2: 151mi @ 69.2mpgUS (+0.7) / Prius: 273.1km=169.7mi @ 3.3L/100=69.1-71.3mpgUS
And always 10pip on Prius' gauge and 110% on GAS xgauge
Prius accumulated 65.6mi, while SG2 accumulated 65.9, ie overestimated by 0.5%. Gonna change speed parameter by 1% so SG2 underestimate distance by 0.5%.
(1) to mall using first half of my daily commute, but I went through the working zone (I prefer to avoid because road is really of bad quality). When I went back on my daily commute road I was 2-3mpg higher than usual, while I was 2-3mpg lower just before, because of traffic. I may retry to use that "bad" road again during next days
Denis.

Re: Week of May 21st - May 27th, 2012 (Nat Avg $3.76)
7.7 mi
135.7 wh/mi
247 MPGe
This is a little tougher route than my mostly level one. Has a couple of short 40' elevation changes with lights at the bottom. Wasted some watts and a nice glide in them today. Certainly could have been worse, parade in town this morning. Battery fail warning on at 5 miles.
Race day tomorrow. Do they have a best MPG award a the 500?

Re: Week of May 21st - May 27th, 2012 (Nat Avg $3.76)
Took eldest daughter to her new job. Breezy, 66°F, 3UP. Did some great FAS and a bit of P&G:
66.7 / 12.1
Came back a different way (better than reverse of route going!), 2UP, loads of P&G and a fair bit of FAS too, 68°F:
73.2/10.2
Tank up 0.5 to 51.8 / 671.0 / DTE123 Guess gauge on 2/14 No low fuel light yet.

Re: Week of May 21st - May 27th, 2012 (Nat Avg $3.76)
Our 2-up trip to Nagyvárad|Oradea (now in Romania) resulted in two awful tanks, 72.2 and 72.4 US mpg. The nasty head/side wind we got all the way there literally devastated Teresa's FE. It was strong enough to turn the trip into wrestling with the handlebar and every truck we faced in the opposite lane hit us with a shock wave. The way back was much better: if I counted my tanks from fill-to fill, the 2nd one would be like 3.09l/100km (in the high 70s in mpg) - and the first one even worse, around 3.5l/100km, in the mid/high 60s...? (sorry, I'm recharging my mouse now)
We visited a local anime meet there, a rather small one, with ~30 participants (mostly Hungarian students living in Romania). It's a good question why we visited such a small event in another country, but it was surely fun
The way there wasn't (we had other things to so we took the national road 4, which sadly lacks beauty and bends, and road 47 and 42 were not much better). The way back was much better, it was a different route, with some cute rural back roads.
