Re: Hundreds of 2013 Dodge Dart’s Drive Away From Texas Motor Speedway
Right, Edwin! As long as the interior bits do their job and don't break, I'm happy.
Auto writers have such pack mentality that they obsess en masse about whatever area is the latest fashionably superficial way to judge quality. Lately it's soft vs. hard interior surfaces. For a while, it was the width of body-panel gaps. For a while it was the number of cupholders, or the sound of the door latches, or ...

Hi RedylC94:
It is cloth headliners vs. mouse fir on egg cartons, soft dash vs. hard ones, clean looking control stalks vs. stalks, map and vanity lights vs. just map lights, cupholders vs. not... Some live in that space for as much as 2 or more hours per day so why would you not want it to look nice?
Why not a concrete floor in a finished basement? It serves the purpose of a floor and easy to clean up? Instead people carpet them because it makes it more livable. How many hours do people spend in their basement vs. their car?
Right now Toyota probably has the worst interiors but get away with it with decades of reliability. Most cannot place their hat on that attribute so distinguish themselves by offering a better everything. I’ll take better than worse for the same $’s each and every time.
In the case of the Dart, it really does ahve a nice interior and plenty of eye candy with the optional displays. The 8.4" high resolution touchscreen and Garmin based NAVI are another class above solution making it better than its competitors still using Denso NAVI crap as I single out one supplier whose NAVI product(s) are pure and unadulterated “suck”.

I love how the Prius C photo shows an "Eco Score" of merely 51 even though the mileage shows 99.9. Stupid cars...
