When I do a P&G with NICE-Off coasting, Scangauge shuts off every time I cut the engine to glide. I know that this happens because turning to key off resets the ECU computer, which takes several seconds before it reboots and starts sending data again (as a result the ScanGauge goes into sleep mode). When I shut off the engine at the start of a glide, I usually flip the key to ACC for about a second to kill the engine, then put it back to ON so that my odometer and speedometer still work. I have noticed that even after the ECU has rebooted, the distance counter in ScanGauge will not register any distance travelled until I restart the engine (however my regular digital odometer is still advancing while the engine is off)

.
As a result I've found that if I try to do any engine-off coasting, it messes up my trip data on the Scangauge because it ends up registering less distance than I actually travel. Does anyone have any tips how to avoid this problem? Or is it specific to my vehicle? (1999 Toyota Corolla manual trans.)
Thanks
