Re: "The 62 mile bug" for 2k6 HCH2's has been fixed

My husband got to do all the harassing for me this time. He took my car to the dealer for me and I took my old Hyundai to work. This time they tried to snow HIM and claimed somehow they didn't have the part in stock that day. Husband looks serious -- oh no my wife rented a car so I could bring this in and boy she isn't going to be happy if this doesn't get fixed today. (We have this good cop, bad cop script going). So the guy says well he'll look, but drags his feet checking the computer and my husband whips out one of his favorite stogies and lights up (the desk is right by the driveway, so they're practically outside). By his second puff the poor idjut says wow, someone else scheduled this but never showed up so you can have their part. Just to get him out of there. I felt sorry for whoever had to give my husband a lift home. (Now you know why I'm so glad this car has no ashtray?)

I call to check on the car and yes the hybrid-genius is working it and it should be ready in about 2 hours and yes the mileage numbers will be reset. My husband brings the car home and I see not only is the main odometer restored to its near-original 7492 miles, but the Trip-A and Trip-B all show 7492 miles. At least the bug should be history and I'll know my tank mileage now, even before I fill up.

I have to admit it was worth the day driving the Hyundai to work and enjoying the a/c both ways, full blast.
