2011 Chevy Traverse

I rented a 2011 Traverse to haul the family around NE for a wedding weekend. Yes we need a big car with 5 peeps and luggage.

Compared to my Pilot, it was:

Bumpier - felt stiff (good in corners, bad on bumpy surfaces)

slower - less off the line when I needed it (which was once)

guzzlier - tried hard, driving on roads where I'd easily have turned 30mpg in my Pilot and
got about 18mpg. This was slightly winding rural roads with good speeds for HMing.

less comfy - felt cheap and had less obvious places to stick stuff. Entertainment center was weird, and the car had menus that I didn't end up using because of the interface system (several button presses, then check button). I'd probably use it if I spent more time with the car, but it wasn't intuitive.

Smaller - this thing is definitely narrower than my Pilot, and about the same length. Yet, it is nowhere near as tall.

Glad I chose the Pilot.
