Re: 2013 Hyundai Elantra GT Pricing and Specifications

I'm glad to see you can get the MT with either option package not just the base.

Can you clarify this Wayne?
Quote:
RPM@ 60 mph (calculated)
GT with 16” alloys and the 6-speed MT: 2,203/2,033
GT with 17” alloys and the 6-speed AT: 2,230/2,058
I'm assuming that you mean:
Quote:
RPM@ 60 mph (calculated)
GT with 16” alloys and the 6-speed MT/AT: 2,203/2,033
GT with 17” alloys and the 6-speed MT/AT: 2,230/2,058
Where 17" alloys increase RPM by 25-27 due to shorter sidewall tires and automatic reduces RPM by 170-172

RPM at 60
Code:
             MT | AT
16" alloy 2,203 | 2,033
17" alloy 2,230 | 2,058
How 'bout a nice table?

Re: 2013 Hyundai Elantra GT Pricing and Specifications

Hi Rich:

Yes, MT/AT for both the 16" (25.1" diameter) and 17" (24.8" diameter) tires. I also added the Cd of 0.30 to the spec sheet.

What I did find odd when creating the GT's spec sheet -- I will have to go back and check later tonight and verify -- is that the final drive of the Coupe is different than the final of the GT?

Thanks for keeping a close eye on things

Wayne

That would be strange.

Wayne,
The GT shows a final drive of 4.333:1 for MT and 3.27:1 for AT
The coupe shows the same 4.333:1 for MT and 3.065:1 for AT
The sedan shares the coupe's 4.333:1 and 3.065:1 ratios.

Update - The HMA service site shows the GT, coupe and sedan all share the A6GF1 automatic and in the spec sheet, it lists 3.065:1 for the final drive on all three. So I guess the jury is still out as to whether the GT has a little more gear multiplication in its final drive?
