Re: 2013 Fiesta hatch SFE no SYNC ?
OMG, are you really sure you want Sync? I just rented a Focus equipped with this, and the interface was the worst I've ever seen on a car. Took me 5 minutes to figure out how to tune the radio station manually (i.e., not just jumping across the presets). Not only do you have to watch a screen and wade through menus to get anything done, but the thing is REALLY slow to respond to input. Absolutely hated it. YMMV, but try it before you buy it.

Been using SYNC for a few years now & its great, why were you tuning the radio manually, thats what SYNC is for (I have heard of people having to temporally pull the SYNC fuse to reset the system if it goes out in the weeds, sounds like your rental needed that)

Aren't Sync and MyFord Touch different animals? You can have Sync, but not necessarily with the Touch screen. I don't think I would like the touch screen, but I can see some benefit and convenient to sync for hands-free calls, music library, voice commands, etc.

Re: 2013 Fiesta hatch SFE no SYNC ?
My rental had Sync but not MyFord Touch. No touch screen, only button controlled. So yes they are separate.
The reason I would want to tune manually is 1) to grab the stations I want and plug them into the presets, rather than having Sync load up the presets with every station that comes in, 90% of which I don't care about, and 2) I spent most of the weekend in remote mountainous areas where stations would fade in and out, and signals were generally too weak for the seek feature to pick them up, even if they were strong enough to be listenable.
Still takes way too many button pushes to get things done. Dangerous IMO.

Re: 2013 Fiesta hatch SFE no SYNC ?
Hi Rfruth:
Unless you enjoy the smallest B-Segment out there, the Fiesta is not the car to consider with or without SYNC. When it receives the 1.0L EcoBoost next year, it should at least have the FE to compete with the Sonic, Accent and Rio but until that time, SFE is one of those additions that cost $’ and you really do not get anything from it

Is that really a "when" and not an "if" ? Why don't they just make that the standard engine for the Fiesta ?
Grrrrrr.............

Re: 2013 Fiesta hatch SFE no SYNC ?
Hi Edwin:
The Focus is to heavy for the 1.0L here in the US so that means it has to be the Fiesta. Or the B-Max if Ford brings that here next year?
