You know your a hypermiler when...
You see a 91 Geo Metro LSi Convertible yesterday, sitting in a gravel parking lot and after dropping off your pizza delivery you stop and write a quick note that says:
I buy and/or repair Geo Metros if interested call 704 XXX.XXXX - Dale
and I get a call today from W. and he asks me if I'm interested in buying it. I say sure, he says $800 and we talk about it's condition for a while and I begin to tell him about my hypermiling and try to persuade him to go to www.cleanmpg.com to learn some of the techniques.
I mentioned that I may have talked him out of selling it as it's such a good car and he said he was thinking the same thing.

You aren't happy with anything below 60 mpg...
You get angry when driving into the wind...
You wished they'd pave the 18 miles of gravel/dirt roads you drive everyday (better FE)...
Johnny Mullet, Wayne Gerdes, MetroXFi, Superfly, basjoos are your heroes...
(ok, ok, I'm whacked)

Wifey borrows the car to pick up a 50lb bag of sand and you're more worried that the added weight screwed up your mpg than the mess it might have made in the trunk...

When you get your car inspected and the mechanic says that you have 1/3 of your brake linings remaining and you have 120,000 miles on the car and the brake linings have never been replaced, front or back.

except the first 55k miles my mom/dad drove it, which would be normal driving. then 20k miles i drive it, aggressive, then the rest with hypermiling without a Scangauge until 6/28/12.
it's got got 117,000 miles, breaks never replaced, and only down to 1/3! amazing!
