The usual trip off-site today for a combined hospital conference. On the way there I interrupted the conversation to point out an original purple Insight just joining the highway ahead of us...and promptly dropping into a slow cruise

Second surprise was an odd one. On the way home I noticed a car hanging way back from me. Clearly following the PSL, and holding people up more than I was (since I would let the speed drift up on the hills for some regen). At the lights I WAS THE RABBIT! Cheeky bugger held WAY back letting me trip the red to green (there was no one in front of me to do it). I was impressed. He was driving what looked like a Honda Fit - certainly a Honda something, but I'm sure he was hypermiling it. It was a stunning blue color and reminded me of the Fit EV..but that's not released here yet I thought...
Anyone, he followed me home, and turned off into his garage about 100 yrd from my street. I wonder if it would be too weird to stick my head in and say hello
Oh, I lied - third surprise. I saw a Volt on the way in ahead of me in traffic. Never seen one on the road before, although I know we have a local dealer who had one in stock recently. There are a refreshingly large number of hybrid cars around here, that's for sure.
