Kangoo Z.E. starts at $21,500 --Ed.

Renault has announced an attractive launch offer for the Fluence Z.E. and Kangoo Z.E. including two years free battery rental and a five year unlimited mileage warranty. "Meanwhile, running costs – including battery lease, the electricity required for battery charging (GBP2.50 average for a full charge) and maintenance – will be similar to those of an equivalent internal combustion-engined vehicle when the annual distance travelled is less than 9,375 miles. They will be competitive when the annual distance travelled exceeds this figure."

Re: Renault Ireland offers 2 years FREE battery lease

Thanks Herm

Glad to see the old sod in the news.

I thought the extended test drive of 1 month was impressive.
Generally if I remember from my brothers experience only these 2 seat type vans can be used as business delivery vehicles as they can be used as tax write off.

Does not say what unlimited mileage battery rental fee would normally be.

Thanks Andrew

Thanks

I dont think they offer one, batteries are wear items so you would have to be careful with those offers

I think the schedule is about $13 per month extra for each extra 3000 miles per year lease package.

Re: Renault Ireland offers 2 years FREE battery lease

As of April 17, Renault has made 5000 electric Kangoos.. pretty impressive!.. bring it over to the US.

http://www.media.renault.com/global/...?mediaid=32229

This morning saw 2,000 employees at Maubeuge (Nord-Pas-de-Calais, France) celebrate the 5,000th electric Kangoo to come off the line.
Designed and made in France, Kangoo Z.E. and Kangoo Maxi Z.E. (two and five seat versions) are made on the same production lines as the internal combustion-engined versions of the model. The all-electric van has been available for sale in 15 countries since October 2011, at pre-tax prices starting from €15,000*.

Kangoo Z.E. has enabled Renault to consolidate its position as Europe’s number one electric vehicle and LCV manufacturer.

* with tax incentive deducted (€5,000 in France)
