Re: Week of April 16th - April 22nd, 2012 (Nat Avg $3.93)
Finished another tank on Sunday on a Gerecse exploration trip (it's a hilly area of Hungary I've never seen before). We spent ~210km in the saddle yesterday (~130mi), started in warm (albeit windy, of course) spring weather and ended up in rain on the way home.
The tank itself became the best this year so far: 2.89l/100km ~ 81.51 mpgUS. Finally I'm over 80 mpg again, yay.
Morning to work: 5C, nice route (it's not dark anymore at 5:20am), tried key-off coasting down the usual way. In this cold Teresa wouldn't roll up a little incline before the road, she stops there instead. So it's only 0.6km key off today, not 0.8 like other times I took this route lately. And it must be the temperature, she did not roll down to the road in winter either.

Re: Week of April 16th - April 22nd, 2012 (Nat Avg $3.93)
Well done Alvaro
What's happened to the UG Kirk? Great fill result by the way
4 short trips on Sunday:
52.3 / 4.4 To parents for lunch, 46°F, 5UP + dog.
47.4 / 4.4 Back home, raining, 57°F.
78.3 / 2.9 To shops. Brilliant short run, loads of engine off coasting, 46°F, 1UP, I managed to coast all way from 2 lane, round a roundabout and into a pull-through spot in car park. I love it when that happens
54.5 / 3.0 Heavy rain on way back home, had to go a different way, more traffic, lots of standing water , 46°F.
Total for Sunday: 54.6mpg over 14.7miles
Tank steady at 53.8 / 562.7 / DTE238 Guess gauge at 4+/14

Gord,
Nothing wrong with the UG just decided to go with the ODO numbers for simplicity.

Re: Week of April 16th - April 22nd, 2012 (Nat Avg $3.93)
13C / 55F last afternoon and started in a light drizzle which stopped somewhere on the way home. I took the short route.
8C /46F this morning. Teresa did glide a bit better than yesterday (5C / 41F), and almost reached the top of that bump before the road. It's still 0.6km key off, anyway.
Today I used the glove heating for only about half of the trip, and stopped the engine for long red lights (after I disconnected the heating). After I had stopped cars behind I didn't needed the extra visibility so I turned the lights off by the ignition key (there's no other way, she's European and our regulations say that lights must always be on on a motorcycle )
Now I go hurry back to work...
