By now, most of you know Roger Goodell lowered the boom on New Orleans bounty program to injure opponents. The Saints denied doing it to the NFL in 2009, then did it for two more seasons, adding to the severity of the penalties:
- Team fined $500,000
- Lose this and next years 2nd round draft picks
- Head coach Sean Peyton suspended the entire season
- the GM suspended 8 games
- Goodell has yet to rule on the 22 or so players involved, but they likely will get multi-game suspensions
- ringleader Asstant Coach Gregg Williams suspended indefinitely.....this year and a review of if he comes back
