Tires... LRR or no?
I am looking for a tire that will last quite a while. So, tread wear (rather, the lack thereof) is of utmost importance. Second to that would be road noise / ride comfort.
I am looking to spend under $320. $380 if it has to be shipped.
The top tires I have come across seem to be the Kumho Eco Solus HM KR22's (UTQG rating of 800 for tread wear) and the Continental ContiPro Contact. Both are LRR tires, which is not a huge selling point for me. While I am a hyper-miler (pumping 39-40 mpg out of each tank lately), LRR tires do not provide much of a boost. And, being in Idaho, winter traction is pretty important. However, I cannot buy another set of winter-only tires.
Anyone got some suggestions?
Tire size is 195/60R15.
