It was a good poll IMO. Most folks hate cops. Heck I hate them. Once met a hot chick. Found out she was a cop from another town and dropped her like a rock. They have never done a thing for me. But put the cuffs on.
I do feel a bit sorry for them when I see them working a wreck and folks are either rubber necking like crazy or ignoring the issue and almost hitting folks as they drive thru.
When the wife and I were in Phx. Az. we drove right into wrecks that emergency workers were on. And I mean bad wrecks. And those fools were driving right thru the accident zone. One car cut between a cop car, ambulance and fire truck and almost hit a person on a gurney. The wife and I were in a state of shock! The cops didn't do a thing. NOTHING!!!! Was a sign of things to come as we spent the week in that city. That idiot could have killed 5 or 6 people. Doing that here in Oklahoma is a felony. They will hunt you down for that here.
Just this week I saw a bad wreck happen about a 1/2 mile down the road on the creek turnpike going home. Everybody stopped. The ones up front got out of there cars and started tending to people involved in the scattering of cars. ( wreck ) A guy with Texas plates behind me pulled out and started down the right shoulder trying to get thru. The cops were not there yet. A person in a large truck blocked him off and some other guys yanked him out of his car. I saw a state trooper cuff him and put him in his car. Once all the emergency crews got there. They took full control,,, set up cones and everybody got thru.
It amazed me how well behaved people were. Compared to Phx. Or even when I got rear ended in Ft. Worth metro. And we saw lots of wrecks in Phx. the week we were there. I just couldn't believe how bad folks,,, drove and acted.
OOO and the person that caused the wreck was a chick in a Red Audi TT with Texas plates on it. Had the tan,,, big hair and false boobs. I would bet a pay check she was a Plano want to be visiting her okie mom.
Folks cut the cops and others some slack when there on the side of the road. Even as a hypermiler. If there is a cop car or other flashing lights or a person changing a tire. I move over even if it means speeding up. I dislike cops with a passion! But a car ver. man fight isn't close to fare. ( and yes,, I do see my car as a weapon )
