Grief, Then Lawsuit
Many of you heard of the tragic death of St Louis Cardinal relief pitcher Josh Handcock. His father is now suing: - The restaurant
- The towing company
- The stalled car driver
While we can feel for the father, his son was intoxicated three times over the limit and had problems prior to the crash

Re: Grief, Then Lawsuit
WTH did the tow truck driver and stalled car do? Is it their fault that a drunk driver hit them? I can understand being upset but give me a break.

Re: Grief, Then Lawsuit
This kind of crap really pisses me off. Hancock, though intoxicated, wasn't so bad that it would necessarily be obvious to the manager at the restraunt. He had pot in the car, he was speeding. I feel the grief, but individual responsibility has to be the main issue here. As I see it it's good that Hancock didn't kill someone else...he'd be facing manslaughter charges.

Re: Grief, Then Lawsuit
i feel bad for the man losing his son, but has it come to the point that lawyers can sue a person when someone hits them??? sorry, but that is so not right.

Re: Grief, Then Lawsuit
America leads the world in: - Energy consumption
- Fast food consumption
- Illegal drug consumption
- Spam
- Frivilous lawsuits.

Had a co-worker that basically run himself out of my workplace with his behavior. As I walked to him to his car, he made a remark that was both very funny and very sad at the same time: "Don't feel guilty about me leaving...". Pretty serious denial of responsibility - he walked off a cliff, inspite of me an others asking him not to do it. There seems to be a lot of people out there that can't assume responsibility for their actions.
Josh Howard was also in a self-destruct mode - it was a matter of time. I know his father loved him, but he needs to get past denial - his son got himself killed.

Re: Grief, Then Lawsuit
The father is a goof. These kinda of law suites should not be allowed at all. I should sue the father for being a idiot.
