My Sunday.


Went to the old time drag races in bradenton today! was all excited to get out and see how lil silver would do on the highway seeing as that how i am getting to Tenn for turkey day soon.

Got on the Highway showing 40.x on the SG and it went downhill from there! dern winds!!

Coming from the east and i was seeing The Sg instant readout showing 34-36 mpg. by the time i got to the track i managed to keep it over 36 mpg! Oh well guess I shouldn't complain with this compared to how some other here have it.


Return trip was a lil better cause ride from track to the highway had the tailwind and had 45 mpg showing when i merged onto the highway. The wind was stronger than earlier but due to engine being warmed up and air temp being warmer I kept it over 38 when i got off at my exit. I reset my current trip and by the time i pulled into my driveway the sg was showing 47.x current trip from when i got off highway.


Tank had started out at 42.1 and when i refueled the final tally was 38.35 mpg.

On my last working day I got totally soaked on the way back home. Now I have a week off to dry my clothes
At least it wasn't cold: 9-10C. And the freeway looks GREAT at night in rain with all that mist and lights

Actually, that sounds scary!! I never liked seeing stuff like that when on my bicycle and I can't imagine I'd feel much different about it on a motorcycle... slippery!!
