Funny you should mention that. Both of our VWs have had a problem with the left rear window hanging up on its track (on the Golf this was a $450 repair, on the Jetta I haven't had it fixed yet). When the window hits the spot where it "catches" (about halfway up) it doesn't just stop -- the autoreverse mechanism engages and the window goes back down instantly.

Yep, more to go wrong.

Remembering that VW recalled auto windows on the mk IV Golf/Jetta platforms a while back, because they were caving in. I dodged the bullet because I went with the baseline crank windows. Which were fine until you pull up to a gas station and the pump guy tries to conduct business through the passenger window, assuming it's auto.
