I flushed my LeSabre's transmission with Dexron-VI today to help with a few shifting issues and to get a lower-viscosity and tightly-regulated, GM-licensed fluid in there instead of the mystery oil in plain Dex/Merc ATF. I have to say, I like it so far! It's shifting better, and more crisply!
Plus, my glides seem to be a hair longer. Maybe because it's lower-viscosity than the fairly thick ATF that came out, or it's designed with fuel efficiency in mind. Or maybe it was me imagining things and driving more efficiently to convince myself it really made a difference. I can't tell yet.
