Chicago Prius Group Meet-up on March 25th
I'm organizing another meet-up in the Streets of Woodfield in Schaumburg, IL on Sunday, March 25th starting at 11:30am.
This will be an informal meet-up. We'll meet on the East side of the parking lot like last time. After a little while, we'll find our way to the Chipotle in the shops for lunch. Then we can head back out to the cars for more talking and some photos.
In addition to this thread, I've started one on Priuschat: http://priuschat.com/index.php?act=S...=0#entry394992
And one on GreenHybrid: http://www.greenhybrid.com/discuss/s...442#post113442

Re: Chicago Prius Group Meet-up on March 25th
Can us lowly civic drivers show up
I know we can, but I just want it to be official.
So it will be in front of the sports store near magiano's parking lot?

Oh yeah, I was thinking about typing it, but my ADHD kicked in.
Of course, cars of all technology are welcomed to attend. They can even bring their owners.

Re: Chicago Prius Group Meet-up on March 25th
Hi All:
___Time for a bump as this will be the first “Official” - Chicago Prius Group Meet scheduled for next weekend. Tony is the guy running the show and it should be an interesting get together to say the least. I am fortunately off and Tom and I should be there barring any unforeseen personal schedules getting in the way. If anyone wants to carpool from Wi. or the far north side, I would be willing to load up the Accord for the short drive as well.
___Tony, are you nervous yet
___Good Luck

Re: Chicago Prius Group Meet-up on March 25th
Hi Tony and all our friends,
Justin and I will not be able to make this meet. Things have been very busy up our way so we're playing catch up.
We hope you have a great show and make new friends. I'd like you to know that the MiHG will offer whatever support we can to the Chicago Prius Group. Between our group, the MHG and yours, I think we have this part of the Midwest preety well covered.
A couple things that you may want to share with your attendees.
MIHG member Erik out of Toronto, has a group buy deal workn on a EV switch from CeT for the Prius. His price is $35 plus $1.50 shipping to my address and distributed at our next meet on Sat. 4-21. If you'd like shipping to your members home it would be about $7. That seems like a good price. Erik already has about 6 members interested and I'll be emailing all MiHG members in a couple days. If anyone there tomorrow is interested just get their email address.
The other thing is, that at our last block install, someone from Illinois had a set of sheepskin seatcovers for his Prius. He was willing to pick some up for MiHG members who do not have Costco's in this area. If he comes let him know we have several members who are interested.
Best of luck Tony and I hope your hard work brings in some new people. Thanks for all the support that you have been to the MiHG. We're sorry we can't be there.

Re: Chicago Prius Group Meet-up on March 25th
Hi Bradlee:
___I wish you could have been there as it was a nice one just to hang out and enjoy one another’s company.
___All, a great day for a meet! Temps in the lower to mid 70’s and both met and made new friends. Talked all afternoon about all kinds of good stuff Prius II and TCH related. In particular, I learned how to hack the 04/05 Prius’ NAVI for on the move programming, learned where the terminals for jump starting a Prius II from the front and the rear were, learned what the TCH is capable of at highway speeds and had a great time. Tony, Mark, and Wayne … as always, it was great to meet up with you guys again.
___The pics do not do the meet justice but there were 10 Hybrids and ~ 20 people for the first informal meet … The next will be at Grossinger Toyota sometime in April and will be a bit more formal for those who are interested …
___Here goes:
___Good Luck

Re: Chicago Prius Group Meet-up on March 25th
Hi All:
___I forgot one other thing I learned today … The TCH’s 16” Bridgestone Potenza’s are 51 # MAX Sidewall rated. I have to find the RRc for these as they could be a great replacement for any number of 16” equipped automobiles!
___Good Luck
