Thumbs up My first year hypermiling done, fuel and money saved!!!

Well I have been hypermiling one year now and did the math and the numbers add up to prove it was a success! If anyone talks with someone who is still sceptical that it works, feel free to show him my math!
Actually this is a bit less than I really saved, I was trying it for a month before i believed in it enough to commit to keeping a log. so thats some gas i saved not on here, plus other vehicles I hypermiled, including a suburban on a trip up near the canada border.
I also estimated that if I never found this site I would have been about at EPA consumption. I could be guessing a bit high there, I will never know, I don't even remember how I used to drive anymore! I am also guessing the average price over the year(may08-may09) to be 2.30 a gallon.

Here are my savings from all my driving.

Fuel saved 485.66 gallons!

Money saved 1117 dollars!

yup, didn't need the little lizard!

here are my charts

My interest did wane a bit in the winter, when i was just more concerned with survival than saving gas, but I still hypermiled every tank. a couple i just barely squeeked above EPA due to snowstorms. being a courier I cannot just stay home on those days!

Re: My first year hypermiling done, fuel and money saved.

It's interesting how the impact of hypermiling depends on different factors. Your numbers obviously show a significant difference compared to your prehypermiling days. Congratulations! I only drove about 11,000 miles in the past year, and my mpg increase hasn't been nearly as impressive as yours. I'm still trying to break even on my SG-II that I bought a year ago.
