I think it has to do with the higher profile with the 4x4 as well as the extra friction of the Transfer case and the 2 axels full of older gear oil. I need to replace it this spring as I didn't get to it last year.
DWL on back roads at about 45 takes very little trottle to keep up (about 18 TPS) as compaired to about 23-24 to keep it steady at 55-60. At 45 I get into the high 20's to lower 30's, but at 55 with DWL it is usually in the lower to mid 20's.
I hope that I am getting as much out of the truck as possible as it is what i have to live with for some time until the finances are at a place to get something better for higher FE's.
Thanks for your time, I am always open for suggegestions to increase FE in my brick.
I would love to have someone more experienced at this to take a drive in the truck with me so I can see if I am doing things right or what else I can try.
