Getting around 47 mpg so far

Haven't posted much since I joined but I've become obsessed with mileage
So far, I'm getting between 45 & 54 mpg on a 27 mile rush hour commute on the interstate. I've played with surface streets and, at least while school is in session, I_485 here in Charlotte has some decently spaced hills for gliding

Haven't had a tank average less than 45 mpg and think it's going to go up this summer. Still waiting for the first oil change, all I've done is raise the tire PSI to the max specified.

welcome to the "active" forum cplayer , sounds like you've been beating the epa a bit. why dont you post up a log so we can see your progress? also, see what you can do with other ideas, its always good to add a hypermiler, that's a helluvalotof good that's being done.

The faster you enter that into the site the easier it will be with all the graphs you can get.
I entered a year and a half of data in under a half hour so it won't take you long.

Looks like you'll be competing with Fr. John. He's got an 08 Civic hybrid as well. His first week was 46 MPGish, and now I believe he reported some 60's at the last go around, not even a month later.

Re: Getting around 47 mpg so far

The Surgeon General recently warned that hypermiling is addictive.
