TDI'ng in Wisconsin
Greetings and salutations from SE Wisconsin!
I am new to the forum but have been hypermiling since 1982 when I purchased a
Honda 1300FE and installed a JC Whitney trip computer in it. That was back before
you could simply plug a ScanGauge II into the OBDII port you had to install
magnets on the drive shaft and a fuel flow sensor in the fuel line!
I learned drafting in that hatchback commuting to/from college. I was getting
about the same 48mpg back then that my Civic HCH1 hybrid averages today.
Caveat: The national highway speed limit was still 55 MPH then...

Re: TDI'ng in Wisconsin
Welcome! Until now I had no idea that *anyone* was into this that long ago, or had even thought about it.
I look forward to hearing about your exploits, both past and present.
