So I went out for milk and...

...came back with this

I loved my Fit, but it was sort of lacking in features. I figure this will keep me entertained until a PHEV or BEV becomes affordable.

Coming home from the dealer and out on an errand got me 46 MPG both times.

IMA is certainly a strange beast depending on mode, I'll need to figure it out.

Re: So I went out for milk and...

Wow! You must carry a lot of cash to get milk!
The CRZ will not spoil like a gallon of milk either! Great choice! I drove one a couple of weeks ago and it would be very easy to fall in love with.

Re: So I went out for milk and...

Very nice! So you went with the CVT instead of the 6MT model?

Milk is expensive these days, and the CRZ has an air conditioned glove box to keep any future milk purchases fresh.

Thanks, after seeing for myself I agree with Wayne that the 6MT is out of gears by about 35 MPH, just like the Fit. That puts a lot of vicious gear rowing into stop and go traffic and leaves none for the 40-50 MPH winding roads where MTs are the most fun. The CVT keeps revs nice and low - about 2000 at 60 MPH, and I can always use the paddles to hold a particular ratio when I get into the turns.

Thanks.

I'm heading out on a 160 mi round trip this weekend, we'll see how it does. This is usually a mid 40 MPG trip in the Fit.

Re: So I went out for milk and...

I saw one that color on the interstate on a bright sunny day and it was very sharp.

Re: So I went out for milk and...

Thanks all.

80 mile segment
1/3 45-55 MPH with windows open a bit
1/3 Cruise + AC, 58 MPH
1/3 Cruise + AC, 63 MPH
and a bit of city near the end showed 49.7 on the AFCD, 52.x on the SGII.
I'm very impressed so far.

Re: So I went out for milk and...

I don't go near a Honda dealer when they have CR-Z's in stock. They are just to tempting for me!!! Good choice. H
