Re: ScanGauge
Hi Psy:
___It is an ugly looking box but it is functional like no other OBD-II scanning SW/HW package out there other then the manufacturers CAN-View based stuff. We all know what those HW/SW packages can cost
___I am very interested in how it handles FAS’. It appears that the current segment FE might be blown out after each reboot but the segment average might still hold true in the daily display/readout? The digital iFCD is not as good as the OEM bar graph based units (imho) but at least you have an iFCD and an aFCD to record and use for optimization in that brand new Civic of yours … Let me know how it works and if it works as expected, I will have to purchase one for the Ranger and Accord.
___Good Luck

WRT display, etc-
I've emailed with the guy asking about a data dump capability, since it holds some info in NV memory already. Even a basic RS232 so we can visualize the data any way we want on a PC/laptop and automatically see changes over time. Although he said there was a lot of interest in that, the development cost and incremental cost per unit was slightly too high for him to do at this point. It seems he's happy with the product and specifically its price point more or less as-is?
That doesn't exclude a digital tinkerer (definitely not me) from playing inside, however...

If there had been a option on there website. I would have ordered it ups red collect. As it is I did have it shiped to my place of work.
Im going to call them and see if that shipment option can be done. I hate waiting.
edit
I just emailed them to see if it could be shiped UPS Red to my Acct. number. Bet they wont do it. Dosent hurt to ask.

Wasn't it you who ordered it before I did, even though I have had mine for almost two weeks now? (I know somebody was surprised when mine showed up.) If so, something must be wrong. Mine was shipped USPS to CT and took three days or so.
It's worked out really well so far. I keep the iMPG and fuel flow rate displayed and ignore pretty much everything else except trip and tank fuel economy. Those displays alone are worth the cost.

Broke Down and Ordered on Today
After hearing it again and again, finally went to www.scangauge.com, read some, then ordered one over the phone during lunch. I was warned that it can't account for the fuel cutoffs and the lean burn, but they are working on a software upgrade.
First weekend in May, I'm driving to Colorado, so it will be interesting what the engine temperature, etc is in the Rockies.
It will probably be mounted on the steering column.
They said it will probably arrive on Saturday or Monday.

Re: ScanGauge
the guy said shipping to canada could be 2 to 8 weeks, once the week 8 has passed I will complain. Until then I can only bug my wife about , "Is there any new mail?"
"no"
"Man... driving is going to suck."
I need something to relief me of all the mpg other people are getting T_T

It's not...that...bad actually.
(But then six months ago I would have laughed in your face if you told me I'd have a tire gauge in my purse)
