Is Your Car a Cop Magnet?
The Hummer tops another list.

Another reason to NOT own a Hummer!---Ed.
If $4 gas didn't convince you to trade in that big H2 for a Mini Cooper, perhaps your friendly neighborhood police officer will.
It seems that Hummer drivers get more traffic tickets than drivers of any other make of car.
The data come from a survey conducted by ISO Quality Planning. The company helps insurers spot risks; or in other words, it helps insurance companies spot you, Mr. Bright Yellow Hummer.

Re: Is Your Car a Cop Magnet?
I've seen this list elsewhere and am still mystified that the Scion xB and Subie Outback are among the most-ticketed cars and the Jaguar XJ is among the least-ticketed.
(Behaviorists tell us that the human mind is hard wired to look for patterns and connections where, sometimes, none exists.)

Re: Is Your Car a Cop Magnet?
I was surprised to see so many Toyota/Scion products on the list.

Its not the car, its the demographics of the people who buy the car.

Re: Is Your Car a Cop Magnet?
I'm fairly sure that even if you trade your Hummer for a MINI, but don't change your driving style at all, you'll probably still get tickets.
(Hey - wasn't this story already posted here?)

Re: Is Your Car a Cop Magnet?
Seems like many of the vehicles in the least ticketed list are frequently driven in ways that ought to get them ticketed.

Re: Is Your Car a Cop Magnet?
You're right about that Lightfoot. The typical driver of the Hummer wants to exude pseudo-macho persona.
The Scion TC driver tends to be younger with more reckless abandon.
Solara: I'm not sure about that one or the Xb.
