Re: Pump malfunction at 26272 Northwest Freeway, Cypress, Texas.
Dear Sir or Madam:
I’m writing to bring to your attention a fault on one of the gas pumps at the Murphy’s Oil (Walmart) at Cypress-Rosehill and US 290 in Cypress Texas. On the afternoon of April 11th, the auto stop feature of pump 6 failed to register. As a result the pump continued to flow after the tank was full and dispensed a fair quantity of fuel onto the pavement. Based upon refueling logs for the vehicle being fueled, pump 6 overfilled and overflowed the tank by 4 gallons before it was finally manually shut off.
The management on duty was courteous and helpful. The amount that overflowed the tank was in dispute, but we agreed on a refund for just less than 2 gallons. I want to ensure that this failing pump is inspected and repaired. I’ll be happy to provide any further documentation that may be needed to facilitate repairs.
