Re: Prius II-76.1 MPG 604 Mile tank

Yup...and yea, I'm excited too. Trying to keep it reigned in a bit since it's so far off, but we already have plans for PV and wind power on the house we'll build when we get home and before taking...

Re: Tesla Surpasses 1,000 Reservations for Model S

sweet, I get props in the headline! Thanks Wayne.

And yes, this is still a luxury class sedan and thus, is out of the price range of the "average" driver. I think it's clear this will be marketed...

Re: CleanMPG Fuel Economy Challenge V - Spring 2009

Sorry Kacey, you're still in there, it's unlikely I'll be able to match my most recent tank, just hope to keep in the upper 60s/low 70s.

Re: Prius II-76.1 MPG 604 Mile tank

Oh yea. I should have a pretty low number too. I got my deposit in in the afternoon of March 26th, just a couple hours after they opened up reservations and I also got a Roadster buyer to give up...

Re: Prius II-76.1 MPG 604 Mile tank

Thanks Wayne,
Actually, it was an unusual sequence of events that allowed such a good tank, I expect a bit different as summer progresses with longer and shorter trips being the norm.

We decided...

Re: Prius II-76.1 MPG 604 Mile tank

while 81mpg might be possible if you take my kids out of the equation for about 3 weeks and give me temps in the 70-80 F range, I still don't think I'd get to 1000 miles.

The most I've ever filled...

Prius II-76.1 MPG 604 Mile tank

While almost embarrassing amongst some of the achievements you guys accomplish, I wanted to share a new personal tank record.

My previous record tank over the 5 1/2 years and almost 87k miles I've...

Re: 1,000 mile + weekend for charity has begun!

I'm really glad to hear that Carl is doing a stint on his own. I think it's outstanding that he's not just showing up for the glory run passing the 1000 mile mark. I think it's great that he's...

Re: Helena man’s gas motors for bicycles give new meaning to hybrid vehicle

My e-bike doesn't go quite 35mph, but it's quite adequate at 20+ for in-town errands and such.

BMM, please add today to the 'overall'.
They're 100 miles outside Amarillo per the latest update. I'd think they could get quite a bit further if they want to push a little.
