Re: HCH-II --Miles after fuel light?

On my HCHII, the light usually means about 3 gallons left. Zero bars means about 2 gallons left. I get nervous after that, though, so I try to fill up quickly.

The most dangerous I've lived was to...

Re: Our first meatless day

Edit: Oops, didn't realize this thread was so old. Well, regardless:

I definitely think Americans can still enjoy enough meat to satisfy their taste cravings, but eat less to improve their health,...

Re: Calif. Neighbors Wage Legal Battle Over Redwood Trees That Shade Backyard Solar P

I sided with the pre-existing trees. I can see where Vargas is coming from, but I still think it's pretty ridiculous to force the cutting of a neighbor's trees. I would do my best to make that guy's...

Re: Venezuela Halts Oil Sales to Exxon Mobil

Considering the ridiculous amount of global demand for oil, I'd say Venezuela could easily find other buyers. I didn't know they owned refineries in the U.S., but if they feel like protesting enough,...

Re: Guess What This is Ideling for 15+ min in Front of the Store?

At convenience stores around here (Wawa; those from PA and NJ will know) there are signs with the phone number of the Department of Environmental Protection to report idling cars. You can bet your...

Re: Carbon myths

Kudos to the author for bringing up veganism as a way to help. I guess it's too controversial for most writers to mention it (or for Al Gore to talk about it), but reducing your meat consumption...

Re: What is Different About This Christmas Tree?

The Rockefeller Center tree uses LEDs too this year, and is partially solar-powered:

Re: OPEC Keeps Production Levels Steady

I don't claim to understand this stuff well, but if anything, oil still seems underpriced. If prices keep rising but demand never decreases, what reason would they have to raise production? They're...

Wayne on Mojo's Test Drive

I searched but didn't find anything, so I apologize if this has been covered.

I was watching Test Drive (http://www.mojohd.com/mojoseries/testdrive/) last night, a show on Mojo (an HD channel). The...

Re: Oct. hybrid and fuel efficient non-hybrid sales – HCH-II sales are mediocre.

I've got nothing against the Prius, and my g/f will probably get one when her car dies, but I just enjoyed driving the Civic Hybrid more. The tax credit helped too!

The Camry Hybrid sales are...

Re: Week of October 8th - October 14th, 2007

Uh oh. My girlfriend (on her roadtrip with 3 other friends) is reporting around 45 mpg for the first tank. I-81 was backed up near Scranton (PA) both to and from upstate NY. What gives? I thought...

Re: Week of October 8th - October 14th, 2007

I still have much to learn. Only 58.1 last tank.

I filled up because tomorrow my girlfriend takes the Civic Hybrid on her annual girls' roadtrip up to the Ithaca, NY area. I figured it would give...

Re: What is "Normal Usage" on your car's mileage log?

I don't recall doing this, nor do I even see a place where I can choose multiple profiles (the only one I can choose is "Default" when adding a tank), but it's not a big deal. I'll just live with it....

Re: Week of October 1st - October 7th 2007

What is "Normal Usage" on your car's mileage log?

The "Default" section has the numbers I entered, but I do not know what this "Normal Usage" section is. Thanks.

Re: Week of October 1st - October 7th 2007

49.6 and 51.5 into work (20 miles) the past two days. The traffic has been worse, but I'm still doing more terribly than I would think. Either I've lost the touch (noooo!) or a combination of...

Re: Week of September 17th - September 23th, 2007

Re: Week of September 24th - September 30th 2007 (US Ave $2.79)

I’m so irritated. I could have easily made 60 mpg this morning (and without needing a cement truck to hide behind), but there was an accident in front of the Cherry Hill Mall which brought everyone...

Re: What have YOU stuck/attatched to your car?

Re: Week of September 3rd - September 9th, 2007

Two weeks of owning the car now, and going to work (55-60 mpg) is consistently better than going home from work (50-52). Probably because it's more congested in the morning and I can drive more...

Nice bumper stickers. My car's name is Serenity. Not Trek, but sci-fi nonetheless. And it does give me serenity, for I drive more slowly and peacefully than ever before.

I love my Firefly-class...
