Re: FAS in Ford Ranger: Power steering fluid sprays in engine compartment when turnin

I just found this thread. I stopped using fas in my truck for this exact reason, although I didn't know the problem wasn't limited to me. I would lose enough fluid that my ps pump would wine really...

Re: Server Busy - Times-outs and simply overwhelmed ...

Do you have to pay the hosting company for the hardware? Any intel processor based on the "core" technology will mop the floor with any of those p4 class cpus. If you can build the system yourself,...

Re: Grand Theft Auto 4

I loved San Andreas, but I don't have a console that will run the new one. The graphics look really good.

That is my guess. I have seen several of those here in Oklahoma, and we have some windmill farms.

Re: dude, im gettin a dell

At my office we have several Dells. Overall, we have had good experiences with them. They seem to have less crapware pre-installed than other OEMs. Lately I have started building our computers...

Re: Best highway hypermiling techniques…

I know exactly what you mean. We have a lot of stoplights here that seem to default to the less busy street to slow traffic down. Nothing is more frustrating than a light turning yellow in front of...

Re: AFS Trinity unveils 150 MPG extreme hybrid XH SUV

But people should at least have the choice to get one. My electricity bill was almost $150 this month for my 2br apartment, but I would bet that I would still save a bunch of $$ by using one of those...

Re: Best highway hypermiling techniques…

I am the same way. My highway is still always way better than my city mpg. I'm still really new though, so I am just happy that my efforts so far have consistently produced the best mpg I have ever...

Re: Ford Ranger, 40 MPG?

I have my tires at 45psi(44 sidewall) and they are fine. I didn't even notice a difference in ride quality when i pumped them there from 32psi. My truck is rough riding no matter what. I can see how...

Re: Diesel prices spur trucker to turn down loads, call lawmakers

Re: Ford Ranger, 40 MPG?

I would suggest a soft tonneau if your main goal is FE. I have had the extang black max for about 2 years on mine and it is worth every penny. It is much cheaper than a hard tonneau, and I think it...

Re: When Filling Up, Do You Top Off The Tank?

I always top off, as that is the only way I can get consistent mpg calculations. Once the pump shuts off, I can still get 2-3 more gallons in the tank. I try to fill up by the time it hits 1/4 tank.

Re: Introductions

Well I just filled up my second tank. I topped it off at 14.547 gallons for 427.2 miles traveled. About 55% city driving and it comes to 29.3mpg. This hypermiling really works! I have owned this...

I am interested in seeing the results from this, although buying 8 plugs for the ranger would be very pricey.

Re: Your Most Expensive Tank

I think the most I've ever put in the Ranger is about $55. The tank is only rated at 16.5 gallons, but I always top it off and have used up to about 18 gallons to get it there. When the pump first...

Re: Trucker Slowdown Yes

I had to take a trip for work today, and on I-40 in OKC all the trucks were running at least 65-70. I would like it if they drove slower, instead they flew around me.

Re: The New Mobil One 0-20w and 0-30w?

I saw 0W30 mobil1 in 5qt jugs in Wal-Mart last night. I plan to switch both my ranger and my Z28 over to it. Ive been running 5W30 mobil1 in both vehicles for years.
