Re: Toyota Denies Battery Woes Delay Prius.

Well, perhaps I read the article wrong, but didn't they say that the new model would be delayed. They kinda hinted at it, but nothing more. And the title even says they are denying it.

Re: Aptera – Electric 3-wheeler available for pre-order.

Sounds pretty sweet, but I'll wait until they are in the hands of consumers before I come to a conclusion on it.

Re: Large SUV tax cut under attack.

Man, and you wonder why every hates the US government. All they do is cave in to all the, man what do they call it, lobbyists(?). Government elected officials spend millions, probably billions...

Re: Safe, small cars aren't a contradiction, group says.

Wouldn't a roll cage help? I think that's a cheap but effective measure, BUT WAIT, what do you mean the people think it's ugly? People are going to have to cave around something, YOU CAN'T HAVE IT...

Re: Boston's proposed no speeding pledge program.

That's a great point, and I just happen to have good story about it too. It's actually kind of sad though. I'm traveling down my usual stretch of road when all of a sudden this Gen III Prius, of all...

Re: Why we need big hybrid SUV’s.

I love how they compared how much fuel you save, by the amount in gallons. It's great that they'll save 138 gallons if they drive the hybrid version, but that'll only get them about 3300 miles or so....

Re: Cherokee challenge: Automaker dares drivers to take it 450 miles on only one tank

Might be great for a vehicle that can tow, I really don't know. If you're not towing though, then what the hell is the point. 25 MPG highway is definitely nothing impressive. Now if you got that...

Re: Mainstream media (finally) declare Hummer -vs- Prius Myth "junk science"

How do you manage 70 MPG in your 16 year old Civic? You take hypermiling to the extreme in it?

Re: Mainstream media (finally) declare Hummer -vs- Prius Myth "junk science"

I think what makes it very troubling is the fact of the lifetime of the vehicles. How did they come up with the lifetime of the cars? It can't be the average of the vehicle since the Prius has hardly...

Re: Why Your Car Has Lousy Gas Mileage.

And yet if people learned to drive properly they wouldn't need all those added "safety" features. It's no wonder you need electronic traction control when you try to drive 70+ MPH in the rain, or 80+...

Re: Texas is #1

It's true that the numbers were skewed, but stats are ALWAYS skewed. California used up way more coal than Wyoming ever did according to the article, but because it's in Wyoming it counts for them,...

Re: Mazda Develops New Miller-Cycle Engine for Mazda2.

They never mentioned, but are those Jap numbers, or US ones?

and BTW, what is a Miller-cycle engine exactly? Too lazy, and itch too much, to go look it up.

Re: Inventor Accidently Discovers Potential Fuel Source: Saltwater

Ok, I've actually heard of something like this before and I'll give you all a low down on how it's supposed to work. It may not be what's happening in his experiment, but supposed he's not the only...

Re: Children Find SUV Blind Sides

Well, what they never tell you is the other side of the story. How many people are run over by people backing up in sedans? Our neighbor has their grandchildren over basically every week. I don't...

Re: Going green, saving green.

Mopeds and all those little scooters are great for commuting around by yourself, or even with a passenger. Most of the ones I saw while in Taiwan had a compartment under the seat, and depending on...

Re: MPG to expect for cost calculations, for car purchase?

I'm not so sure about the HCH or the new Prii, but in my '02 Prius I can eassily get 50+ MPG on the highway going 65 MPH, and I live in a hilly area as well.

I'd say that unless the HCH can at least...

Re: Obama talks hybrids, but his ride has a Hemi.

How does that mean we should vote? I am under the impression that we the people can't just go voting to kick people out of office. If we can, then I'm gonna have to go make a very very very very very...

Re: Honda has new fuel cell vehicle.

Well, I don't think concept cars are very useful, but they do have their place.

I'm quite confused though. So they are releasing this "concept car" in Japan for $1.5 million a pop? If they are doing...

Re: Obama talks hybrids, but his ride has a Hemi.

Well, being that I've never voted before this may seem kind of bad on my part, but I honestly don't plan on voting anytime soon. Our political system is set up in such a way they we are basically...

Re: 2008 Lexus LS600h L - Why does this car exist?

Can I pick FE twice? Seriously, educate the masses and I'm sure things would change quite fast. And I mean really educate them. Not this pussy footed, so-called education system we have. It's more...

Re: A Diesel Honda Accord that gets 62.8 miles per gallon?

Wonder how an Accord hybrid with that diesel engine would be. I'd imagine that if you made that thing into a hybrid that you'd get over 100 MPG pretty easily, and you'd have better highway MPG than...

Re: Is America ready to get SMART?

How does a car that small, with an engine that small, get only 40 miles per gallon. That thing has to weight half as much as a Prius, and even has a smaller engine to boot. Must lose a lot of MPG in...

Re: First Successful Demonstration of CO2 Capture Achieved.

Well, from the sound of it it's going to be like the new zero-emission coal power plants, where they just store the CO2 underground. To be honest that's just stupid. What would happen if one of those...
