Our traffic problems are getting worse

Pittsburgh the city itself started dying when they replaced the street cars with buses.
Ten years after the street cars vanished so did the downtown center city shopping experience as well as the night life.
People love the light rail system we have now, problem is, it is limited to the routes.
In the morning and evening rush hours the light rail system is packed with commuters.
Where I moved last year, it is a little less than a mile walk to one of the light rail stops. If I had a job in town I'd be riding it every day. :)
If you need a car to drive two miles to work in town why put up with urban problems. You might as well move out to the suburbs where there are much better school districts and less crime and taxes.
