Early Conclusions?

You see that dash and door inserts with the waves? 4 window profile? Remote stop? Large 7 or 8” display? LED DRL’s? Korea will get the 1.6L GDI. I wonder what we will receive. Yeah baby, this is going to be “Smokin”!

I found new respect for the Koreans when I saw "The Host". The Korean people, anyway. I don't have experience with their cars , but I would almost buy one. I am concerned about shifter and clutch "feel" being less-than-Japanese perfect , and I've been spoiled by my Honda , Toyota , and Mazda shifters.
Now I need to go downstairs to my puter with the good speakers and watch these videos !

The shifter in my Elantra Touring is very smooth and precise, at least as nice as any I've had from Honda, Subaru and GM/Getrag. Clutch is a bit grabby, though.

I'm sure I could get accustomed to the clutch after a few days/weeks.

It took me at least a couple months, and I've driven quite a few clutches. But I'm used to it now, and can enjoy being able to snap off lightning shifts without having to move my left leg violently. Now I find it annoying to go back to something with a really long-throw clutch like a Honda Fit.
