End of summer gas spike hits drivers
The pinch is felt mostly in the Northeast. Prices in the region climbed nearly 3 cents a gallon from Monday to Tuesday, and more than 8 cents a gallon since Aug. 30. ![]() As the summer driving season comes to an end, motorists who were hoping gas prices would fall are instead getting hit with a big jump, especially in the Northeast. The average price of a gallon of regular gas increased 1.5 cents nationally to $3.84 in AAA's latest reading Tuesday, the first significant move in gas prices since late August. At this point, I think you're going to see a continual rise in gas prices leading to the election. Speculators and the folks in charge always get nervous around election time, which will cause it to rise. Also, a point to be noted, high gas prices at election time are not good for the incumbent administration.

$3.859 at several local stations Monday morning, $3.899 Tuesday night.

Regular (87 oct E10) in the DC Metro area is hovering from 3.70 to 4.20 per gallon
Morning temperatures have dropped below 60 Fahrenheit so I'm back to grill blocking the Prius. The Farmer's almanac and accuweather predict a colder than normal winter for the eastern half of the USA with heavy snow storms for the east coast between Feburary and March of 2013. |

Currently 3.99 here in Centerville, OH. Makes me so thankful for switching out of my 3/4 ton Dodge.

I have noticed a reduction (albeit slight) of speed on the major highways around here. Everyone still passes me, but not like I'm standing still like usual. |

3 cents huh?!
it jumped 15 cents around here from Friday to Saturday. 3.599 to 3.749 Lets see those Taxes increase and see how many Fuel Sucking Pigs we can squeez off the road. |
