Fordís 1.0L EcoBoost, 1.6L TDCi and the Electric Focusí were but a few current and future fuel savers on hand.

Hyundaiís third-generation 100 kW fuel-cell with two H2 storage tanks in an ix35 (Tucson here) provides up to 325 miles range and can top 100 mph.
The Eco-Rally is not a static Auto Show or Fuel Economy event. It simply highlights the most eco-friendly cars available.
Whilst previous eco-rallies have featured a vast array of alternative fuels including everything from H2 to waste wine; this yearís event emphasizes hybrids, range-extenders and fully-electric vehicles.
Electric vehicles have always featured in the final inner-city leg of the event, but technology moves fast and this year extended range vehicles and faster recharge times, mean more electric vehicles can take part on the entire 65 mile rally from Start to Finish.
Fordís comprehensive range of high fuel and energy economy based Focusí was be highlighted at this yearís Eco Rally.
The Ford Focus drivetrains on hand included the already award-winning 1.0L EcoBoost, Fordís most fuel-efficient engine - the 1.6L TDCi turbo diesel and the zero-emissions powertrain within the Focus Electric.
Building up to the Eco Rally, an ďInvesting in Future TransportĒ conference was hosted at City Hall in London where Fordís European Research Center and Chief Powertrain Research Engineer, Andreas Schamel delivered the keynote.
I have no results but along with the Ford Focus products, Peugeot brought their 3008 HYbrid4 diesel-electric hybrid production car, Hyundai had their Fuel Cell equipped ix35 as highlighted above, Opel had the Ampera and Zero motorcycles brought a number of Zeroís for the attendees to see and in some cases, ride.
