You can get a filling station for your home that works off your present gas line. The cost is around $5K before installation. The conversion runs between $4K and $10K depending on the vehicle.

The reason the conversion cost is so expensive here in the states is EPA and NHSA regulations that have to be met. The conversions overseas may be only $1,000 but those conversions couldn't pass our safety requirements such as crash testing.

I believe the Civic tank is about 8 gal. and is very heavy gauge steal and weighs a couple hundred pounds?. Lots of Taxis in the lower mainland and Vancouver use this fuel. We have fueling station about every couple hundred miles in our province. The sale of these cars is not pushed and most folks don't even know you can purchase them from Honda a Ford. H
