Re: Better Gas Mileage, Thanks to the Pentagon
Great stuff-military R&D frequently translated into civilian life.
We still lose lots of energy out the exhaust- Turbos are one way but they are tricky expensive and don't work as well in spark motors as they do in diesels. Great stuff! |

I think this was the idea of ARPA-E. Disguise DoE labs spending as military budget to appease the hawks. ;)

Re: Better Gas Mileage, Thanks to the Pentagon
ItsNotAbout- yeah you might have a point
Hybrids have become "global warming" in some Rep groups Saving fuel less foreign energy-which patriotic folks should embrace(less money for evil NUKE producing furriners)- is the way to go.Doesn't matter who you buy oil from-buy more oil-up goes price-for every oil producer(Iran SA Ven ). Hard to believe folks oppose it-but they do. I'm trying to convince folks on a bicycle forum to not cozy up to the progressive/liberal/dems/global warming folks. Sell bike lanes as "less oil $$ to evil furriners" not as "good for environment." or even worse as producing less CO2. Yeah gotta be careful. |
