Another Prius driver gone bad

Another Prius driver gets a black eye. This guy got it in more ways than one. --Ed.

A San Francisco area Prius driver couldn't get enough of a pack of motorcycles cruising the freeway, and decided to record video of them. Unfortunately, driving and shooting video proved to be too much for the 19-year-old hybrid pilot, and he veered into the pack of two wheelers, taking two of them out.

For his distracted driving, the unidentified teenage Prius driver got a ticket, but only after getting beat up by other riders in the group.

He said he was also threatened with a knife, but the bikers were understandably pissed off at him. While he was videotaping from his Prius in the center lane, the young man veered into the right lane, overcorrected, then swerved into the left lane, knocking down one of the riders. It's stupid stuff like this that keeps me from riding my scooter. It's scary enough to see people video taping, curling their hair, and texting while driving a car... I simply cannot trust the drivers around me.

He assaulted them with a deadly weapon. He's lucky he didn't end up worse.

If there were more biker vigilante justice, car drivers might wake up, start seeing bikers on the road, and cause fewer motorcycle wrecks.

The Hurt Report from the 70's found that 2/3rd's of motorcycle-car wrecks were caused by car drivers.

I got back to work today and realized there was a full moon yesterday. Answered a whole lot of questions on the quality of the driving skills I witnessed today while out :rolleyes:

I have to agree if he was paying more attention to the road than videoing the bikers he wouldn't have wrecked the bikers or got his butt beat. He is lucky no one got killed or he would be looking at more than a few years in prison.

When I first saw the article, I was thinking,"bad bikers." That quickly changed when I read it.
