New England hybrid meet

Some of the Insight people from this area would like to have a get together, We want to include any other Hybrid owners that are interested.
The tentative date would be the weekend of Aug 25-26.
The place would be at my place in North Eastern CT, as it is right at the corner of MA,CT,RI.
Many details to work out, but it would be great to get as many people as possible. Plenty of nice secondary rural highways to do some MPG runs on.
Solar cooked hotdogs, three electric buggies to play with, I have the Insight on a stand, and all the training demos from UDHEV, test rides in the batmobile if anyone wants to give it a try.
The best part of these meets is that we get to share some quality time with people of like mind.
Let us know if you have any ideas or suggestions on how to make it a great time for everyone.
Sparkie the 7 foot robot will also be in attendance.

Re: New England hybrid meet

26th was better for more people so it is 26th with rain date 25.
Event info will be posted at:

All varieties of Hybrids welcome.

Re: New England hybrid meet

It looks like 5-8 cars, maybe more. We have notices on several forums.
It would be great to get 10 or more.
Come on over.

Re: New England hybrid meet

Hard to get confirmations from people, but based on reading through this thread, and one on another forum, and some people that have contacted me directly, we have 13 that have expressed a desire to do it, and more that may come. We will have plenty of cover if we get a shower, so I suggest we go ahead with the Saturday hybrid workshop, and the Sunday hybrid gathering.
A hybrid weekend for sure.
Come on down and join the gathering.

Re: New England hybrid meet

Hi Mike:

___With Tim’s enthusiastic response from an earlier Hybrid workshop and Hobbit’s as always colorful diatribe about what you guys do there, I would love to someday see you in action doing what you do best. For any that attend, oh boy are you going to see some really neat stuff!

___If you remember, could you have someone take a few pics of Hobbit and yourself in front of your two vehicles? I think you know what I need that for

___Good Luck and thanks in advance.

___Wayne
