...because every jerk thinks they are....Special!

I witnessed this buffoonery over at Northern Kentucky University's student parking lots. In the morning it snowed about two or three inches in a matter of an hour, quickly enough that the snow plows and salt trucks didn't get there in time. As classes began, cars piled pell-mell into the parking lot - with the lines all covered up...well, you get the idea.
Clearly a whole lot of students were late for class (the parking situation at NKU is horrid and getting worse year over year), but come on... that's just being a jerk by parking like that.
Hi Chuck:
___I have got to tell you I absolutely love your “Jerk of the Day” idea and framed pics :D
___Good Luck

BailOut 03-27-2008, 10:01 AM Holy crap... time to make a towing company happy.
warthog1984 03-27-2008, 10:23 AM That's gotta be fun to pull out of.
At the local Metra stop, when gas hit $3, the lot next to the station filled up with overflow cars. Parking on the ends of aisles and whatnot... you could still get through. The city "helpfully" ticketed the overflow cars for not being in a designated space. Don't worry, they opened up an extra lot for passholders only (the ones that take the early trains)- a mile away from the station :(.
This has got to be the greatest idea since sliced bread. I love it. When I see a jerk weaving through traffic closing fast in my rear-view I keep hoping... "Maybe I can make JOTD today!". Really makes dealing with these A-Holes a lot more pleasant.
One suggestion... Make a "Jerk-Of-The-Day" gallery for all the JOTD photo's. In the notes for the photo, you can link back to the thread that it was posted too or something like that. This way people could see a whole wall of JOTD photo's at once. If you really wanted to get fancy you could make a JOTD candidate gallery. Any photo uploaded to the candidate gallery would auto-magically get framed!
Banana Beer for Chuck!

Chuck 03-27-2008, 10:29 AM This is edgy....make JOTD a News Article? :p
warthog1984 03-27-2008, 12:05 PM I'm thinking "Wall of Shame".
Chuck 03-27-2008, 12:10 PM I'm thinking "Wall of Shame".If everybody likes that better, I'll change it.
One site I was at had tons of spoiled brats wanting their furball to be Pet of the Week...or something like that...I don't give their exact name as the forum was poorly administered in the quest to be a "hot site", ran off the nice charter members (myself being one) with pit bulls. :( Anyway, I used the format, including a parody: "Every furball is special" to "...because every Jerk thinks they are Special" :p
Hi Chuck:
___I just created the new Pic gallery called "Jerk of the Day (http://www.cleanmpg.com/photos/showgallery.php/cat/593)" so add to it as you feel the need ;)
___What tools are you using to add the yellow emblem and border so I can help mod the photos as they come in to do the same.
___Damn you came up with a good idea. Edgy, tacky and hilarious all at the same time :D :D :D
___Good Luck

lamebums 03-27-2008, 12:36 PM This is going to be a long-running tradition, I can see...what with all the jerks on the road. :D
As to all those cars, what you can't see in the picture is way, way down on the right, there were three or four cops. Unfortunately they weren't towing - they were just trying to get the cars out as class dismissed. They should have gotten the tow truck. :(
fitmpg 03-27-2008, 05:59 PM I'll have to keep my cell phone handy for a photo-op. Great Idea. I like it a lot.
Gordon 06-12-2009, 05:34 PM If that was my car trapped in there i would have had one of my buddies come over and have that POS pulled out with a tow chain, then drive my car out whilst rather smugly giving the other car the finger.
