View Full Version : Landfill Gas Tapped Chuck 05-25-2006, 05:54 PM A landfill in Georgia is using the methane gas for energy. CNN Story (http://www.cnn.com/2006/TECH/05/25/landfill.gas/index.html) Kyo 06-11-2006, 02:14 AM It is about time, I have been fustrated seeing that fuel being burned off for many years instead of captured, tanked, and/or sold. Talk about a renewable resource. Trash is definately something we will always produce. diamondlarry 06-11-2006, 08:02 AM They are also using trash-gas in Indiana; sort of. There is a large landfill near me that uses the gas at the dump fornormal operations but a large potion of it gets burned off. laurieaw 06-11-2006, 12:30 PM if my husband's 93 civic could run on methane he'd never have to buy the stuff ROFL vBulletin® v3.6.7, Copyright ©2000-2012, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
